Galway Bay fm newsroom – Gardaí at Sathill are appealing for witnesses following a suspicious fire at Gaelscoil Mhic Amhlaigh in Knocknacarra.
The fire broke out at about 5.30 last evening, and one pre-fab at the school was damaged.
The fire is believed to have started in the playground and spread to a nearby pre-fab.
A technical examination has been carried out at the scene, and Gardaí say inquiries are ongoing.
The main school building was not damaged in the incident.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the Knocknacarra area around 5.30 yesterday evening to contact them at 091-514720.
