Galway Bay fm newsroom – Galway City Council will be officially presented with a Healthy Cities certificate at an event in Dublin today.
The event will be attended by Elisabeth Bengtsson from the World Health Organisation and Health Promotion Minister Marcella Corcoran Kennedy.
Healthy Cities provides a model for cities to develop innovative and creative solutions to public health and health promotion.
The cert will be presented to Galway City Council at Dublin City Hall around now.
Jason Craughwell is a member of the Healthy Cities Forum and says a lot of work has gone into the initiative.
