Galway Bay fm newsroom – The role of agriculture in rural economic growth is to be the subject of a public meeting in Ballinasloe this week.
Leading experts, farmers, producers and those associated with the sector will come together as part of Bank of Ireland’s 15th annual National Enterprise Week.
A panel of expert speakers will include MEP Mairead McGuiness, IFA Galway Chairman Pat Murphy and Head of Agriculture at Bank of Ireland John Fitzgerald.
The event is being billed as a special opportunity to discuss how agriculture can continue to be the major driver for rural economic growth and prosperity.
The public meeting will take place at the Bank of Ireland Ballinasloe Branch on Thursday at 7.30pm.
