Galway Bay fm news – A Junior Minister and Galway East TD has suggested TDs should serve for a maximum of 10 years.
OPW Minister Sean Canney says staying on any longer than that in the Dáil is ‘bad for politics. ‘
According to the Irish Examiner, Junior Minister Canney believes TDs don’t have a divine right to a seat or to be career politicians.
He says he’d prefer to see people work their hardest for 10 years before handing over to new blood.
