Galway fire crews were kept busy overnight with a number of gorse fires in the county.
The latest callout happened around 1.30a.m (22/3) when a crew from Carraroe attended a vegetation fire at Bog Road, Derryrush.
Earlier in the night, around midnight, two units of Clifden fire brigade attended a gorse fire at Sky Road.
Previous to that at 9 o’ clock last night, Carraroe crews also battled a vegetation blaze in Rosmuc.
No-one was injured in any of the gorse fires and there was no immediate threat to nearby properties.
