Galway Bay fm newsroom – Gardaí and the emergency services are resuming search operations in the city this morning following two incidents last evening.
A search got underway at Galway Docks at around 6.30 last evening following reports that a man had entered the water.
A search team, involving the coastguard helicopter,was deployed, but no-one was found.
Meanwhile, another search was carried out near Mutton Island at around 10pm following reports that a person had been calling for help in the area.
However, no-one in distress was found.
Further searches are taking place at the Docks and at Mutton Island this morning as an extra precaution.
