Galway Bay fm newsroom – Galway County Council is being urged to resurface the road through Labane village.
The route was used for diverted traffic during the two-month closure of the N18 following severe flooding.
The N18 was closed on Christmas eve, and has only fully re-opened this week.
Local area councillor and Independent election candidate for Galway East Michael Fahy says the road through Labane took a lot of traffic while the diversion was in place, and needs to be resurfaced.
