Galway Bay fm newsroom – A survey has been distributed to thousands of employees and businesses on the East side of the city in a bid to guide plans to tackle severe traffic congestion in the area.
The survey is being conducted by Galway Chamber.
The business group believes an improved bus service which utilises the Quincentenary Bridge rather than Eyre Square is a possible solution.
The study is a follow up to a similar project last year, which provided data on the travel patterns of people who work in Galway.
Chair of Galway Chamber’s Traffic and Transportation Committee Dr Chris Coughlan says the survey will allow a scientific analysis of possible traffic solutions.
