Galway Bay fm newsroom – There’s light at the end of the tunnel for householders and businesses in Williamstown, after Irish Water confirmed that the area’s boil notice could be lifted by the end of March.
Testing is currently underway in Williamstown after a UV system was installed to help decontaminate the water supply.
The boil notice will remain in place until testing is completed.
The process is expected to conclude by the end of March.
Irish Water says it’s working closely with the HSE with a view to ensuring the boil notice can be lifted as soon as all requirements are met.
The utility says it will update residents once a decision has been made by the HSE and the EPA.
