Galway Bay fm newsroom – A manhunt has been launched for three men believed to have been involved in a violent burglary in north Galway.
At about 7.30 on Tuesday evening a couple both in their thirties and their two young children returned to their home at Parkwest in Clonberne, when three men entered their house.
The men – described as thinly built Eastern Europeans – assaulted the couple – leaving them with non-life threatening injuries.
The men are said to be between five feet eight and six feet tall.
They made off with some cash and phones.
The children were not physically hurt but are said to be traumatised following the attack.
Anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed anything out of the ordinary is asked to contact Gardaí on 093 70840.
