Galway Bay fm newsroom – The CEO and Cathaoirleach of Galway County Council are being urged to convene an emergency council meeting to discuss the ongoing flooding crisis.
Tuam area councillor Mary Hoade says flooding has had a serious impact on homes and businesses across the county in recent weeks.
She says the full council needs to meet to discuss funding, and other issues facing the local authority in the aftermath of Storm Frank.
Councillor Hoade has spoken to County CEO Kevin Kelly and County Cathaoirleach Peter Roche, and they’ve agreed to meet this afternoon to discuss the possibility of holding an emergency meeting.
