Galway Bay fm newsroom – Just over 5 thousand new cars were registered in Galway last year a jump of more than a third.
That’s according to the latest information from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry.
The Galway figure represents just over 4 per cent of the national total of new car registrations.
It compares to 3 thousand 700 cars registered in Galway the previous year, an increase of 34 per cent.
The top selling make of car in 2015 was Volkswagen.
Manager of Motorpark Galway, Gerry Halloran says last year’s sales almost doubled the figures seen in the depths of the economic recession.
