Galway Bay fm newsroom – A pedestrian has been taken to University Hospital Galway following a freak road traffic incident in the city this morning.
A woman was struck by a piece of debris from a passing vehicle near Fleming’s Garage on the Tuam Road at around 8.30am.
The woman, who’s believed to be in her late 30s, was taken to UHG – but it’s understood her injuries are not life threatening.
Gardai are currently investigating the circumstances of the incident.
