Galway Bay fm newsroom – There are concerns that a main commuter route in the county could be closed for three weeks next year.
Ongoing roadworks and bridge repairs have been taking place around Cashla.
Sinn Féin Senator Trevor O’ Clochartaigh and Councillor Gabe Cronnelly have visited the area and say locals are concerned about a possible closure between Cartymore Cross and Rafterys Cross.
Senator O’ Clochartaigh says if the road closes for 3 weeks, it would have a massive impact on commuter traffic and schools.
