Galway Bay fm newsroom – A special remembrance mass for deceased members of the Travelling community will take place in the city this evening.
The event is organised by Galway Traveller Movement to celebrate the lives of those who have died in the local and national community.
Hundreds of families from across the country have been invited to this evenings commemorative event, which is the first of it’s kind to take place in the city.
The mass will include a special blessing, and relatives of those who died in the Carrickmines tragedy will be in attendance to present offerings at the mass.
The special mass will take place at Galway Cathedral this evening at 7.30 and all are welcome.
