Galway Bay fm newsroom – A new high observation area has been opened at the Department of Psychiatry at University Hospital Galway.
Station C is a purpose-built, 6-bedded high observation area located in the existing facility.
The new area includes a seclusion room, bathroom, clinical room, nurses station and dining area.
It’s part of the overall enhanced development of mental health services in the west and should be fully operational by the end of the week.
