A Galway-based software company has won a contract worth €500,000 to support the company formerly known as Siteserv.
Storm Technology will play a key role in the €3 million upgrade of the IT network at Actavo.
Strategic operations support company Actavo was known as Siteserv until recent weeks – and its rebrand follows intense controversy.
The controversy revolves around the sale of the company to Denis O’ Brien in 2012 for €45 euro – and the writing off of debts worth €105 million by the IBRC.
More recently, controversy erupted again over the awarding of the contract for the installation of water meters on behalf of Irish Water to Siteserv subsidary GMC/Sierra.
Actavo has now awarded a contract worth €500,000 to Storm Technology, based at Dangan Business Park in the city, for its support during a multi-million euro IT upgrade.
Actavo employs over 4,500 employees at one hundred locations across the globe – and the company says it’s considerable investment in Storm Technology will play a key role in its continued expansion.
Storm Technology was established in Galway in 1995 and also has an office in Dublin – and supports over 80 jobs between both locations.
