Galway Bay fm newsroom – Galway RNLI Lifeboat was launched in the early hours of this morning following a report that a woman had gone missing in the Long Walk area of the city.
The alarm was raised just before 2am by the woman’s companions.
Galway Gardai sought the assistance of the Lifeboat and Galway Fire Brigade to search the waters around the area.
The search was stood down after two hours when nothing was found.
However, the woman turned up safe and well in the city over an hour later.
