A status yellow rainfall warning has been issued for Galway.
Met Eireann says rainfall of 25 – 50mm is expected in the county over the weekend and the warning also extends to counties Donegal, Mayo, Sligo, Clare and Kerry.
They’ve also issued a status yellow weather warning for the entire country.
Strong westerly winds will reach speeds of 44 to 55 kilometres per hour and could gust to as high as 100 km/hr.
