Safety upgrades for Connemara community centres

Galway Bay fm newsroom – €10,000 has been ringfenced for safety and improvement works at two community centres in Connemara.
Cill Chiaran Community Centre and Pobal Man Ean Teo in Recess will share the funding announced by Galway West TD and Gaeltacht Minister, Sean Kyne.
Funding of €3,000 has been sanctioned for the completion of security works at Cill Chiaran Community Centre.
The funding has been approved by Gaeltacht Minister Sean Kyne, who says the work is extremely important from a health and safety perspective
Meanwhile, more than €7,000 has been sanctioned for Pobal Mán Éan Teo, Sraith Salach.
It’s to enable them to buy a new kitchen and furniture for the community centre.
Minister Kyne says the grants will contribute to the facilities available to the elderly and young people in both areas.
