Galway Bay fm newsroom – Fisheries along Galway’s coast are set to benefit from a new 12 million euro fund
The Minister for Agriculture, food and the Marine, Michael Creed, has announced 12 million euro in funding under the European Maritime and Fisheries fund, for 7 fishery Local Action Groups, or FLAGs.
The West FLAG, which includes groups along the Galway and Clare coastlines will receive 1.8 million euro.
The investment aims to fund local development initiatives in coastal communities across Ireland.
