Man hospitalised after city centre assault

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Gardaí are investigating an assault on a young man in the city centre last night. (2/11)
The incident happened at the junction of Upper Abbeygate Street and Mary Street at around 11.30p.m.
A man in his 20s was assaulted by a group of people and was taken to University Hospital Galway, although his injuries are not life-threatening.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have been in the Abbeygate Street / Mary Street area around 11.30 last night and who may have witnessed the assault to contact them.
