Galway Bay fm newsroom – A special event will take place in the city this evening to officially launch the merging of two city secondary schools.
Presentation Secondary School and Mercy Secondary School Newtownsmith have joined to create a new school at the Presentation site, with a new name, uniform and crest.
The new school, Our Lady’s College Galway, will open in September 2016.
The school choir, pictured, will perform at the launch, which takes place at the Radisson Blu Hotel at 7pm.
