Galway Bay fm newsroom – The Department of Agriculture says Galway farmers can now claim their payment under the TAMS II modernisation scheme on its website.
TAMS II aims to provide farmers with grant aid to improve or build a specific range of farm buildings, or purchase equipment that may benefit their farm.
Concerns had been raised about a delay in payments – after it was revealed that only 93 of 500 Galway applicants had their payment approved.
However, the Department says an online claim facility has opened which allows farmers to upload their claims for payment.
