Galway Bay fm newsroom – It’s reported the Clayton Hotel in Ballybrit is owed almost 20 thousand euro from the beleageured charity Console.
The charity, which offered support to those at risk of suicide and bereaved family members, was wound down following a controversy surrounding financial irregularities.
According to the Irish Independent, the hotel located on the Old Monivea Road, was owed almost 20 thousand euro when the charity went into liquidation last month.
It followed the hosting of a group of 250 cyclists who took part in a fundraising cycle across the country.
The event took place in June, just a few weeks before Console CEO Paul Kelly resigned.
A full list of creditors is expected when the case returns before the High Court in October.
