Galway Bay fm newsroom – Moycullen’s parish priest is to take charge of Galway Diocese until a new Bishop of Galway is appointed.
At a meeting of the Diocesan College of Consulters last evening Canon Michael McLoughlin, the Parish Priest of Moycullen, was elected as Diocesan Administrator for the Dioceses of Galway, Kilmacduagh and Kilfenora.
He takes up this responsibility immediately.
Cannon McLoughlin now takes over the administrative duties of retired Bishop Dr. Martin Drennan who retired on Friday on health grounds.
