Minister agrees to intervene in Parkmore traffic chaos

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton has agreed to intervene with stakeholders over major traffic problems at Parkmore in the city.
Thousands of people commute to and from Parkmore Business Park every day, and traffic congestion has become a growing problem as traffic volumes increase across the city.
Speaking in the Seanad, Galway Senator Hildegarde Naughton said the issue needs to be resolved in the interest of enterprise and sustainable employment.
In response, Jobs Minister Richard Bruton said funding is available through the IDA to implement traffic solutions at Parkmore, and the government is committed to solving the problem.
He’s agreed to speak to Galway City and County Councils regarding the traffic chaos.
