Galway Bay fm newsroom – More time is being sought to build a residential and commercial development in Oranmore.
Planning permission is due to expire for the development at Oranhill.
The Oranhill development would include the completion of the north-south Oranmore distributor road and its connection to the roundabout at the N18.
It involves the construction of 161 homes and 2 commercial units and community meeting rooms.
It would include a 44-bedroom hotel with a leisure centre catering for hotel guests and the residential complex.
Planning permission is due to run out later this month, but if an extension of planning permission is granted, it’s hoped the development will be complete by 2020.
A decision is expected from the county council next month.
