Galway Bay Fm newsroom-The new Galway Rose is 22 year old Rosie Burke from Ballinderreen who was crowned last night in front of a packed Clayton Hotel. The final year UCD Veterinary student was selected from 22 contestants to represent Galway at this year’s Rose of Tralee International Festival in August.
She was supported at last nights event by her proud parents PJ and Claire, sister Blaithnaid, brother Michael, college friends and Michael Earls and his wife Maureen from her sponsors Easyfix.
The talented musician also entertained the crowd on the Concertina and after being announced as Galway Rose spoke by MC Galway Bay Fm’s Ollie Turner.
