Galway Bay fm newsroom – The CEO of IDA Ireland says a new advanced office facility planned for Parkmore has the potential to attract major investment into the city.
Last year, Galway was one of six locations nationwide selected for an IDA advance manufacturing and office building.
The IDA has also secured permission to build a relief road at Parkmore to alleviate serious ongoing congestion in the area.
IDA is seeking developers and investors to build a 45 thousand square foot building at the IDA Parkmore East Business Park.
The facility has been designed, and planning secured – and construction is expected to begin later this year.
Speaking to FYI Galway at a Galway Chamber business event today, IDA Ireland CEO Martin Shanahan said the IDA is working to work through infrastructural challenges which may affect the level of investment in the city.
He says the new office and manufacturing facility planned for Parkmore will help to boost investment in Galway.
