Galway Bay fm newsroom – A Galway East TD who’s a member of the Independent Alliance says the idea of a Partnership Government needs to be ‘parked’ for now, in favour of a minority government formation.
The alliance has issued an invitation to the leaders of Fianna Fail and Fine Gael to discuss how a minority government could work.
However, acting Taoiseach Enda Kenny last night reiterated his wish for a Partnership Government with Fianna Fail and Independent TDs.
On Thursday, Mr Kenny held a brief meeting with Micheal Martin, before the Fianna Fail parliamentary party rejected Fine Gael’s proposition.
Deputy Sean Canney says Enda Kenny needs to move on from the idea of a Partnership Government.
