Galway Bay fm newsroom – 10-year-old children worry more than those of any other age, according to new research by the School of Psychology in NUI Galway.
The study looked at youngsters aged 7, 10 and 13 to examine how much they worried.
It found that 10-year-olds have the biggest concerns and it’s mostly about school.
Psychology lecturer Dr Line Caes says they’re not sure why school is so stressful at this age, but it’s probably due to starting secondary.
