Galway Bay Fm newsroom-There are plans to redevelop a filling station and shop in Athenry.
Jarlath Cloonan has applied for planning permission to redevelop the business at Dublin Road, Knockaunglass.
The Athenry proposal would involve the demolition of the existing single-storey shop and adjoining commercial unit, canopy and fuel pumps.
It’ll also involve demolishing an existing two-storey commercial/retail unit on site, which accommodates a furniture supply business.
The new development would be a single-storey shop with deli, seating area, filling station and a new adjoining commercial unit.
A decision is due from county planners in May.
