Galway Bay fm newsroom – Headford is to host a major conference on climate change next month. (16/4)
The aim of the event is to highlight climate change, particularly in the west of Ireland.
The free conference will run from 10.30a.m to 4p.m at St. Fursa’s Hall in Headford on Saturday April 16th.
It’s aimed at local communities, farmers, young people and elderly people who want to know more about how the climate is changing.
Speakers include Professor John Sweeney, a lecturer in geography at NUI Maynooth and ecologist Anja Murray.
Margaret Sheehan of Headford Environment Group says it’s important to bring the issue of climate change to local areas.
