Galway Bay fm newsroom – Thousands of people are expected in Galway over the Easter weekend for the 5th annual Food Festival, which kicks off today. (24/3)
The festival aims to highlight Galway as a good food destination, with a strong community focus on artisan, seasonal and local produce.
The theme of this year’s festival is ‘100 years of Food in Ireland’ and it’ll include open-air markets, food trails and events for the family.
The festival food village is located at the Spanish Arch with Moycullen, Woodquay and the city country markets also participating.
Michelle Crehan from The Kitchen at Spanish Arch says the festival is an opportunity to highlight the best of Galway food.
