Galway Bay fm newsroom – It’s been confirmed that high speed broadband is to be rolled out in Gort this summer.
Deputy Ciaran Cannon says that the new service is expected to be launched by July, and will benefit homes and businesses in Gort, and within a 2 kilometre radius of the town.
He says users will benefit from speeds of up to 100MB, which represents a massive improvement on the existing service.
The roll-out in Gort is part of a national programme worth almost half a billion euro to bring fibre broadband to 1.9 million homes and businesses across Ireland.
Fine Gael Deputy Cannon says high quality broadband will be a game-changer for Gort.
