Galway Bay fm newsroom – Galway’s IFA presidential candidate Joe Healy says he’s hopeful for the future of the association as the election looms.
The Athenry farmer says the IFA has been through a tough period, and there has been ‘serious anger’ among the members of the organisation.
However, he says following the pay controversy, the association is ready to move on.
Voting for the positions of IFA national president and deputy president will take place between Tuesday March 29th and Thursday April 14th.
A total of 947 IFA branches across Ireland will vote in the elections.
Joe Healy says he believes the IFA has a bright future.
