Galway Bay fm newsroom – The City Council is due to decide this week whether to allow alterations to a building at Tuam Road to remain.
Edward and Tracy Dunbar have applied for permission to retain alterations to Units 7,8 and 9, known as Joyce House, Tuam Road.
They had previously been refused planning permission for fitness studios at that location
The development at Joyce House includes two fitness studios, 2 changing rooms , 4 offices, 6 therapy rooms, a hair salon and a beauty salon.
The existing planning on the building is for office use.
The applicants’ current business ‘Hot Yoga’ is located at Unit 6, Tuam Road Retail Centre, which is next door to the proposed development.
A decision on the retention planning permission is expected from the city council this week.
