A date is expected to be set in the coming days for a full hearing of a judicial review case regarding a planning decision by Galway County Council.
The case is being taken by Screebe Estates Ltd in relation to a development at Screebe Lodge, a protected structure in Camus, Connemara.
Screebe Estates Limited sought retention planning permission for horse stables, a boat shed and store, the re-roofing of an old cottage and additional guest accommodation among other works at Screebe Lodge.
County planners ruled that the planning application was incomplete, and needed a full Appropriate Assessment – or AA.
The company states that it only went ahead with the application on the basis that an AA was not required, according to a screening report.
The matter is not the subject of a judicial review, and the county council has confirmed that a further adjournment has been sought by the legal representatives of Screebe Estates.
A date for a full hearing of the case is expected to be set by the High Court in the coming days.
