At the moment refugees in the “direct provision” system, cannot work or get social welfare.
Students will also vote on the decriminalistation of drugs for personal use.
Pheilim Kelly is the President of the Students Union at NUI Galway.
He says its important for the 17,000 students at NUIG to use their vote to make their voice heard on direct provision.
