Galway Bay fm newsroom – NUI Galway is launching an initiative called: Sexual Health and Support, as part of it’s Student’s Union Sexual Health Awareness and Guidance Week.
It aims to provide information about available support services for students affected by sexual violence.
The University will also launch the pilot of another initiative named ‘Smart Consent’.
It’s the first campus to lead on this programme which provides and encourages students to talk about positive sexual communication.
NUI Galway Lecturer Padraig Mac Neela says the initiatives will help students to talk more openly about sexual health and consent.
