Galway Bay fm newsroom – The Transport Minister has announced that the development of the Barna greenway and the provision of cycle and bus lanes on the N17 is to benefit from a share of 13.5 million euro in funding.
The funds will be shared between 35 projects in Ireland’s regional cities – Galway, Cork, Limerick and Waterford.
The projects are mainly focussed on the delivery of safer facilities for pedestrians and cyclists and prioritising public transport.
Minister Paschal Donohoe says the funds will pave the way for more sustainable travel options.
