City house prices up by 20 per cent

Galway Bay fm newsroom – House prices in Galway city in the final three months of 2015 were 20 per cent higher than the same period the previous year.
According to the latest report from daft.ie, the average house price in the city is now 224 thousand euro – almost 40 per cent higher than the lowest point.
Meanwhile, in the county, house prices for the final quarter of 2015 were 14 per cent higher than a year previously.
The average cost of a home in the county is now 153 thousand euro.
Nationally, the total stock of properties for sale is now at its lowest point in nearly nine years.
