Galway Bay fm newsroom – 65 new jobs are being created in Galway.
Medical device company Phenox GmbH is opening a manufacturing facility at the Kamrick Court Building at Ballybrit Business Park.
Phenox Ireland Limited will manufacture devices for the treatment of stroke and aneurysms.
The building in Ballybrit is currently being fitted out and operations will begin early next year.
The positions, which will be officially announced by Jobs Minister Richard Bruton in the city this morning, will be rolled out over the next five years.
Meanwhile, later this morning, Minister Bruton will visit a new manufacturing facility for Medtronic along with IDA representatives.
The facility will have 20 thousand square feet of space and will cost about 13 million euro.
Medtronic is one of the biggest employers in Galway with more than 2 thousand staff.
