Galway Bay fm newsroom – The N84 Headford Road between Clonboo and Currandulla barracks is to remain closed until 6am.
It’s after a truck carrying timber jack-knifed on the road just before noon today.
The truck is still blocking the stretch, and traffic is being diverted through Corrandulla.
Businesses in the area are operating as normal.
The N84 between Regan’s of Clonboo and Currandulla barracks had been due to close again this evening from 8 anyway to facilitate emergency flood mitigation works.
As a result, the stretch of road will now remain closed until 6am.
