Galway Bay fm newsroom – Met Éireann has issued two new Status Yellow weather warnings for Galway.
A wind warning with gusts of up to 100 kilometres forecast, is in place until 11 o’ clock tonight. (9/12)
There is also a Status Yellow rainfall warning for Galway, Mayo and other western counties.
Meanwhile, home-owners and businesses along the Shannon are bracing themselves for more flooding today.
In County Clare the Defence Forces have been deployed to assist the Council in the Springfield area of Clonlara.
The Council there says water levels rose dramatically last night in the Lower River Shannon, south of Parteen weir.
