Galway Bay fm newsroom – Excavations are underway in Connemara today as part of the search of a premises and land in Connemara in a 30-year-old missing person case.
33-year old Barbara Walsh went missing from her home in Rusheenamanagh after a party on June 22nd 1985.
She was married with a young family at the time she went missing.
Her husband has since passed away but her children are anxious to find answers to the mystery of their mother’s disappearance.
Almost 60 people have been interviewed in the course of a review into the case which began at the start of the year.
A specialist sniffer dog from the U.K has been deployed to the Carna location.
