Galway Bay fm newsroom – Water tankers have been put in place in Tullycross following problems at the area’s water treatment plant.
Irish Water says due to operational issues, the plant has been switched off to facilitate maintenance works.
The reservoir is expected to empty while the works are ongoing, so water tankers have been provided for customers in the Tully and Tullycross areas.
The utility says crews are on site carring out maintenance works, and it hopes to restore normal supply as soon as possible.
