Galway Bay fm newsroom – County Councillors are this evening discussing the Aran Islands ferry crisis, after the winter service ceased yesterday.
The withdrawal of the service until March is centered on a levy of 80c per passenger, implemented by the county council.
Councillors have this evening authorised county CEO Kevin Kelly to continue discussions with Island Ferries.
It’s hoped a solution can be found which would allow the service to continue through the winter period.
The meeting continues at County Hall
