Anti Austerity TD to address city rally

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Anti Austerity Alliance TD Paul Murphy will address a rally in the city next week (Nov 8).
Deputy Murphy will discuss his views on the issue of democratic rights and the right to protest.
It talks place upstairs in Richardson’s Bar at Eyre square next Tuesday at 8pm.
The discussion follows a recent controversial judgment that found a 17 year school student guilty of false imprisonment of former Tanaiste Joan Burton at a protest that took place in Jobstown (Tallaght) in 2014.
Mr Murphy is due in court to face the same charges for his role in that protest early next year.
